If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that nothing feels quite as good as a full night's sleep. When you sleep well, it sets the tone for the rest of your day. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. It's almost like the world knows when you sleep well: your morning coffee hits just right, the sun shines just a little brighter, and you've got a little extra pep in your step.

Your friends and colleagues may notice, too, especially if good sleep is becoming a foreign concept for you. If it is, you're not alone - according to the CDC, people around the U.S. are in need of some serious zzzz's - more than 1 in 3 Americans aren't getting enough sleep. Perhaps even more shocking is that 40% of people fall asleep during the day once a month, according to the National Institutes of Health. Experts agree that most folks should get at least seven hours of sleep a night, but in reality, most Americans struggle to get five or six.

While some ultra-rich CEOs claim they only need a few hours of sleep a night, that's not true for most people. In fact, your body and brain will hate you if you're not getting enough shuteye. If you're feeling sluggish, unmotivated, snappy, achy, sick, or just down in the dumps, you may not be getting enough sleep. And it may not be your fault - that old, dilapidated innerspring mattress that you're sleeping on may be the true culprit.

Fortunately, Sleep King is here to help you get on the fast track to falling asleep with the ultimate comfort of MLILY mattresses in Brunswick, GA.

5 Ways to Tell If You Need a New Mattress

Take a moment and think about all the different things that have happened in your life over the last decade. Maybe you graduated college or got the job of your dreams. Perhaps you got married or moved to a new home in a new state. But if you're like the average person, one thing remained the same: your mattress. It might be surprising to hear, but the average lifespan of a mattress is between seven and ten years.

Letting go of your old, worn-out mattress might be hard, especially if it's served you well over time. As with most products, however, nothing lasts forever. But how do you know when it's time to ditch your old bed and choose a new MLILY mattress in , GA? Here are just a few of the most common reasons that customers tell us when it comes to buying a new bed.

Pungent Odor

Pungent Odor

Is your mattress starting to smell less like roses and more like the dirty socks in your hamper? When your mattress gets smelly, it's most often a result of mold, fungi, and mildew buildup over time. There's not too much you can do to avoid this from happening, especially if you live in a humid climate. So, the next time you change your sheets, give your mattress a sniff. If it smells funky, it's time to upgrade.

Saggy Mattress

Saggy Mattress

If your mattress has a noticeable sag, it's a surefire sign that you need to get a new mattress. Mattresses sag because, over time, coils begin to weaken, and memory foam loses elasticity. If you lay down on your bed for a moment, get up, and your bed sags instead of returning to its original appearance, your mattress is nearing the end of its life.

Pain

Pain

Waking up in pain is basically the an thesis of what a mattress is supposed to do. Due to wear and tear over time, even the best mattresses lose their ability to support your body. If you've been waking up with dull aches and pains in your hips, lower back, or shoulders, it's a red flag. Finding a comfortable, supportive mattress like an MLILY Fusion Lux is of utmost importance.

Tossing and Turning

Tossing and Turning

Constantly moving side-to-side or switching positions in the middle of the night is a great way to get your partner angry. It's also a big sign that you need to consider buying a new mattress. Like the supportiveness of our mattresses, general comfortability also lessens with usage and time. Here's the truth: You shouldn't need to toss and turn to get comfortable in your bed. If you are, your mattress has probably declined in quality and needs replacing. You shouldn't ever have to put your sleep health on the line for an uncomfortable mattress.

What are the Benefits of a Good Night's Sleep?

It might sound obvious, but the #1 reason why people choose to buy a new mattress is to get better sleep. Sleep, in and of itself, is a bit of a mystery - somehow, our bodies just know when it's time to clock out for the day and go to sleep. But if you've been sleeping on a poor quality or dilapidated mattress for long enough, you might have become used to the feeling of lackluster sleep. If that sounds like you, we're here to tell you that you're missing out.

Getting a great night's rest is one of life's little pleasures, but according to experts, it's also much more than that. If you swear by limiting your sleep to be more "productive," you may be doing yourself a disservice.

Better Heart Health

When you don't get enough sleep on a regular basis, it can lead to serious heart issues like high blood pressure and even heart attacks. Why? Because poor sleep causes your body to release cortisol. This stress hormone causes your heart to work harder. That's great in some situations, but long stretches of poor sleep are quite bad for your heart. Like other parts of your body, your heart needs to rest in order to function correctly.

Boosted Immune System

Getting a cold is never fun. But if it feels like someone slapped your head with an anvil when you get the sniffles, you may need better sleep. When you get great sleep, the proteins and immune cells in your body have a better chance of fighting off things like the common cold and flu. Your immune system also helps mitigate symptoms like runny noses, congestion, headaches, and more. Without the right sleep, symptoms from colds and cases of flu will be much worse.

Improved Mood

Do you roll out of bed and feel like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? You're probably not getting great sleep. When you sleep well, you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to attack the day. Your energy levels are high, making life's little annoyances more manageable. And when you're not annoyed, you're typically not angry. When you're not angry, you're only a half-step away from being happy. So, put on our PJs and get to bed early on an MLILY mattress in , GA. Your friends and family will thank you!

Increased Productivity

Earlier, we mentioned how some people purposely lose sleep so that they can be more productive. On the surface, that makes some sense since you have more hours in the day to dedicate to work. However, burning the midnight oil again and again is a bad idea. Eventually, you'll start making mistakes that an afternoon pot of coffee won't fix. Instead of cutting your sleep short, try getting more. Studies show that great sleep is linked to higher cognitive function and improved concentration. If you're not purposely limiting your sleep, it's time to ditch that old mattress and swing by Sleep King.

Supercharge Your Weight-Loss Efforts

Getting eight or more hours of sleep doesn't mean you're going to lose lbs. overnight. But getting better sleep can seriously help with your diet or weight loss goals. When you get poor sleep, your body creates a hormone called ghrelin that causes you to get hungry. It also lowers the amounts of leptin in your body, which is a hormone that lets you know you're full. With great sleep, these hormones remain balanced, so you don't wake up finding for a sugary bowl of Captain Crunch.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The family of three missing Georgia fishermen is continuing their search a little over a week after the Coast Guard stopped.

They’ve hired private crews to pick up where the Coast Guard left off.

The three missing men — Tyler Barlow, Caleb Wilkinson and Dalton Conway — left Brunswick, Georgia on Oct. 14 for a fishing trip and were scheduled to return on Oct. 18, but they disappeared.

The Coast Guard’s search for them spanned 94,000 square miles and four states.

News4JAX spoke with family members of Dalton Conway and Tyler Barlow. They said each time a plane flies out or a boat is in the water looking for their loved ones, it gives them hope. Hope that those three men will be found and soon be back home.

Kim Jones is raising money to find her son Tyler Barlow. Jones said things became more stressful when the Coast Guard suspended their search for the three last Thursday.

“So we took it into our own hands and have had to pull in resources like the United States Cajun Navy, Deemi Research,” Jones said.

Also helping with the search is Airtec, a company that has a fleet of planes that could be used for searching.

“I’m doing the best I can,” Stevie Conway, the sister of Dalton and the partner of Wilkinson, said.

She and Wilkinson are expecting a child together. She’s four months pregnant.

Stevie said since the families have started their private search, a few plane trips have been made.

They even pay for photographers to fly in the planes to capture images of anything that is below like debris.

News4JAX asked Conway, “When you get notification from people who are searching that they have found some debris out there. How does that make you feel?”

“Almost a little hopeful, you know, and there’s so many different emotions that go with it from hopeful to sad to you know, back to it’s just a bunch of it’s a literally a roller coaster of emotions,” Conway said.

The two said their private search has gone from Maine to Florida with boaters helping as well. All with the hopes that someone will spot something and bring these three home.

“They are hardy,” Jones said. “These boys know how to survive.”

The two said more searches are planned. They also will be lighting up downtown St. Mary’s Saturday at 6 p.m. so all supporters can be in one area and support one another.

Despite the name, the Muggle Café in downtown Brunswick will be welcoming to everyone, whether they boast magical ability or not, when it opens around Christmas.

“’Muggle’ basically means an outsider, and I think that’s cool because this is a place for people who don’t fit inside any other box,” said Nick McKnight, who co-owns the soon-to-be-opened Muggle Café with Stephanie Thigpen.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Coast Guard announced Thursday night they suspended the search for the three men who went missing aboard a 31-foot fishing boat 80 miles off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia.

Dalton Conway, Caleb Wilkinson and Tyler Barlow left for a fishing trip on Oct. 14 and were scheduled to return on Oct. 18.

The owner of the boat, the Carol Ann, told Coast Guard members that the crew extends fishing trips to maximize their catch, but he grew concerned Friday because his last communication with the crew was six days before.

“Despite the unwavering dedication of our crews, regrettably, we have not been able to uncover any traces of the vessel and have made the difficult decision to suspend the search for three beloved family members,” said Capt. Frank DelRosso, commander, Coast Guard Sector Charleston. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partner agencies and the countless volunteers who have lent their assistance in this arduous search. Undoubtedly, they, like us, share in the deep sympathy we hold for the families of the missing individuals.”

According to the Coast Guard, their crews searched more than 94,000 square miles over the span of seven days.

But the families of the three missing fishermen are not giving up hope.

“The US Coast Guard Charleston Captain Del Roso was the one that told us that in his 34 years, he has never seen anything like this where they came up with nothing after how much they’ve searched, and to me, that just means that there is something to find and they have not looked far enough,” said Alexis Youngman, Dalton Conway’s sister.

Now that the Coast Guard has ended their search, the families are looking to lean on the community for support.

“Right now what we’re looking for is a twin-engine plane that’s able to fit three passengers that can go all the way from Savannah to Maine, all along the Gulf Stream to be able to hopefully get some eyes out there and the passengers would include a photographer with a high enough lens to be able to look out even farther than our eyes could see,” Youngman said. “So hopefully be able to see if there’s anything that does need investigating.”

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — The Coast Guard is calling the search for three crew members aboard a boat that left from Brunswick, Georgia last week and didn't return 'complicated,' but says there are many reasons to remain hopeful.

The Coast Guard said Dalton Conway, Caleb Wilkinson and Tyler Barlow are the three crew members on board the 31-foot boat named the 'Carol Ann'.

First Coast News learned a Good Samaritan reported a sighting of the boat and crew around 4 a.m. Thursday, but that was four days ago, and the crew has yet to be located.

The Coast Guard says it has searched about 20,000 square nautical miles since Friday and is moving more north of Brunswick towards the Carolinas. There hasn't been any conversation about turning the search into a recovery mission, which the Coast Guard says is a good sign, but it has the crew's family members worried.

"We're all hoping they're just drifting off and trying to figure out what to do. We have no idea what's going on. Honestly, we're just hoping that they come home," Caleb Wilkinson's brother, Cameron Wilkinson said.

He added that the trip was his brother's first time deep-sea fishing.

"Just from me and him growing up, we never really had any experience on boats and going fishing and stuff like that. We always fished in ponds and stuff, but never anything on a boat," Cameron Wilkinson said.

Wilkinson says recently Caleb decided he wanted a more exciting career and took a job with the boat's captain Dalton Conway.

"Caleb's always been very cautious about everything he's done, and if he wasn't comfortable with Dalton and going out there, then he wouldn't have done it in the first place," Cameron Wilkinson said.

The three men left last Saturday from the docks near Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick, and planned to go about 80 miles offshore to a popular fishing spot called the Triple Ledge.

Lieutenant Commander Jason Erickson of Coast Guard Sector Charleston says based on that fishing spot, it's possible they drifted into the Gulf Stream which could have pushed them northeast at a faster rate, but added the Coast Guard is investigating multiple scenarios.

"If they were there and came into some trouble, became disabled, or something happened there, the drift would eventually take them into the Gulf Stream which would continue to the northeast at a faster rate," Coast Guard Sector Charleston Lieutenant Commander Jason Erickson said.

Erickson says the boat was equipped with life vests, a satellite, and distress beacons needed to stay in communication in case of an emergency.

"We know that the boat had an electronic beacon onboard, which we call an EPIRB, and we know that beacon has not activated. It is supposed to self-activate once it gets submerged in the water, and then it should release and give a position and indicate that there is some kind of distress. We have not received any beacons that have gone off. That's a reason to be hopeful," Erickson said.

Cameron Wilkinson says sometimes Conway pushes a fishing trip out an extra day but says it is unusual nobody has heard from any of the men and none of the equipment has emitted a distress signal.

"He (Dalton) has always been safe and communicated every single day with people. When he was out there (on the water) he would communicate with somebody letting them know what he was doing. We feel like if there was something wrong, then obviously Dalton knows what to do. He's been doing it for a long time," Cameron Wilkinson said.

The Coast Guard said 16 planes and U.S. Coast Guard Stations from as far as Miami and North Carolina are helping with the search.

If you have spotted the boat or the three men on board, you are urged to contact the Coast Guard at 843-740-7050.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Coast Guard is searching for three men on a 31-foot fishing boat 80 miles off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia.

The owner of the boat, the Carol Ann, said he hired a crew of three men who failed to return on Wednesday, as scheduled.

The owner of the Carol Ann told Coast Guard members that the crew extends fishing trips to maximize their catch, but he grew concerned Friday because his last communication with the crew was six days before.

Sector Charleston and Sector Jacksonville tried to contact the Carol Ann via VHF-FM channel 16 but got no response.

Sector Charleston received a report from a good Samaritan that he might have seen a vessel matching the description of the Carol Ann on Wednesday -- the day the boat was due to return.

The Coast Guard said the missing men are Tyler Barlow, Caleb Wilkinson and Dalton Conway.

News4JAX spoke with members of the mens’ families. “It’s just been horrible. The not knowing is just what’s really killing all of us. We just want them found,” said Jennifer Wilkinson who’s the mother of Caleb. “We have no idea. We’ve had no contact. The couple of leads we did have where they said they got visuals of them has given us hope. So we just want to keep getting leads in if anyone has laid eyes on them or seen them we want to know where as soon as possible.”

Wilkinson said the families are slated to have a meeting with Coast Guard officials around noon Tuesday in Brunswick for an update on the search.

Other people in the local maritime community are surprised they haven’t been found yet. “Every boat here has an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon). Just about… if you go down it activates. Shows your location. So, I mean if they got hit by a rogue wave and they were all asleep and couldn’t find the EPIRB, the batteries were dead. That’s practical. … they were in the drink before they knew what was happening. That’s very strange,” said Michael Gill who knows members of the crew.

Involved in the search are:

So far search crews have scanned more than 20,000 square miles from Brunswick to Charleston. Anyone with information that might help search efforts should contact Sector Charleston at 843-740-7050.
