Mlily Mattresses Waycross, GA

If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that nothing feels quite as good as a full night's sleep. When you sleep well, it sets the tone for the rest of your day. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. It's almost like the world knows when you sleep well: your morning coffee hits just right, the sun shines just a little brighter, and you've got a little extra pep in your step.

Your friends and colleagues may notice, too, especially if good sleep is becoming a foreign concept for you. If it is, you're not alone - according to the CDC, people around the U.S. are in need of some serious zzzz's - more than 1 in 3 Americans aren't getting enough sleep. Perhaps even more shocking is that 40% of people fall asleep during the day once a month, according to the National Institutes of Health. Experts agree that most folks should get at least seven hours of sleep a night, but in reality, most Americans struggle to get five or six.

While some ultra-rich CEOs claim they only need a few hours of sleep a night, that's not true for most people. In fact, your body and brain will hate you if you're not getting enough shuteye. If you're feeling sluggish, unmotivated, snappy, achy, sick, or just down in the dumps, you may not be getting enough sleep. And it may not be your fault - that old, dilapidated innerspring mattress that you're sleeping on may be the true culprit.

Fortunately, Sleep King is here to help you get on the fast track to falling asleep with the ultimate comfort of MLILY mattresses in Waycross, GA.

5 Ways to Tell If You Need a New Mattress

Take a moment and think about all the different things that have happened in your life over the last decade. Maybe you graduated college or got the job of your dreams. Perhaps you got married or moved to a new home in a new state. But if you're like the average person, one thing remained the same: your mattress. It might be surprising to hear, but the average lifespan of a mattress is between seven and ten years.

Letting go of your old, worn-out mattress might be hard, especially if it's served you well over time. As with most products, however, nothing lasts forever. But how do you know when it's time to ditch your old bed and choose a new MLILY mattress in , GA? Here are just a few of the most common reasons that customers tell us when it comes to buying a new bed.

Pungent Odor

Pungent Odor

Is your mattress starting to smell less like roses and more like the dirty socks in your hamper? When your mattress gets smelly, it's most often a result of mold, fungi, and mildew buildup over time. There's not too much you can do to avoid this from happening, especially if you live in a humid climate. So, the next time you change your sheets, give your mattress a sniff. If it smells funky, it's time to upgrade.

Saggy Mattress

Saggy Mattress

If your mattress has a noticeable sag, it's a surefire sign that you need to get a new mattress. Mattresses sag because, over time, coils begin to weaken, and memory foam loses elasticity. If you lay down on your bed for a moment, get up, and your bed sags instead of returning to its original appearance, your mattress is nearing the end of its life.

Pain

Pain

Waking up in pain is basically the an thesis of what a mattress is supposed to do. Due to wear and tear over time, even the best mattresses lose their ability to support your body. If you've been waking up with dull aches and pains in your hips, lower back, or shoulders, it's a red flag. Finding a comfortable, supportive mattress like an MLILY Fusion Lux is of utmost importance.

Tossing and Turning

Tossing and Turning

Constantly moving side-to-side or switching positions in the middle of the night is a great way to get your partner angry. It's also a big sign that you need to consider buying a new mattress. Like the supportiveness of our mattresses, general comfortability also lessens with usage and time. Here's the truth: You shouldn't need to toss and turn to get comfortable in your bed. If you are, your mattress has probably declined in quality and needs replacing. You shouldn't ever have to put your sleep health on the line for an uncomfortable mattress.

What are the Benefits of a Good Night's Sleep?

It might sound obvious, but the #1 reason why people choose to buy a new mattress is to get better sleep. Sleep, in and of itself, is a bit of a mystery - somehow, our bodies just know when it's time to clock out for the day and go to sleep. But if you've been sleeping on a poor quality or dilapidated mattress for long enough, you might have become used to the feeling of lackluster sleep. If that sounds like you, we're here to tell you that you're missing out.

Getting a great night's rest is one of life's little pleasures, but according to experts, it's also much more than that. If you swear by limiting your sleep to be more "productive," you may be doing yourself a disservice.

Better Heart Health

When you don't get enough sleep on a regular basis, it can lead to serious heart issues like high blood pressure and even heart attacks. Why? Because poor sleep causes your body to release cortisol. This stress hormone causes your heart to work harder. That's great in some situations, but long stretches of poor sleep are quite bad for your heart. Like other parts of your body, your heart needs to rest in order to function correctly.

Boosted Immune System

Getting a cold is never fun. But if it feels like someone slapped your head with an anvil when you get the sniffles, you may need better sleep. When you get great sleep, the proteins and immune cells in your body have a better chance of fighting off things like the common cold and flu. Your immune system also helps mitigate symptoms like runny noses, congestion, headaches, and more. Without the right sleep, symptoms from colds and cases of flu will be much worse.

Improved Mood

Do you roll out of bed and feel like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? You're probably not getting great sleep. When you sleep well, you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to attack the day. Your energy levels are high, making life's little annoyances more manageable. And when you're not annoyed, you're typically not angry. When you're not angry, you're only a half-step away from being happy. So, put on our PJs and get to bed early on an MLILY mattress in , GA. Your friends and family will thank you!

Increased Productivity

Earlier, we mentioned how some people purposely lose sleep so that they can be more productive. On the surface, that makes some sense since you have more hours in the day to dedicate to work. However, burning the midnight oil again and again is a bad idea. Eventually, you'll start making mistakes that an afternoon pot of coffee won't fix. Instead of cutting your sleep short, try getting more. Studies show that great sleep is linked to higher cognitive function and improved concentration. If you're not purposely limiting your sleep, it's time to ditch that old mattress and swing by Sleep King.

Supercharge Your Weight-Loss Efforts

Getting eight or more hours of sleep doesn't mean you're going to lose lbs. overnight. But getting better sleep can seriously help with your diet or weight loss goals. When you get poor sleep, your body creates a hormone called ghrelin that causes you to get hungry. It also lowers the amounts of leptin in your body, which is a hormone that lets you know you're full. With great sleep, these hormones remain balanced, so you don't wake up finding for a sugary bowl of Captain Crunch.

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. – Serta Simmons Bedding is shuttering its factory here according to a filing with the state of Connecticut, along with two others this summer as part of the company’s ongoing strategy to “optimize” its manufacturing network.

In addition to the Connecticut factory, the company will also close two other factories this summer. One in Waycross, Ga., impacting 180 employees, and one in Kirkland, Quebec that opened in 2014. The 268,000-square-foot factory in Connecticut, which opened in 2018 when the company relocated manufacturing from Springfield, Mass., employs 157.

“We are building a high-performing and resilient supply chain at Serta Simmons Bedding so we can continue delivering exceptional service to our retail partners and sleepers,” the company said in a statement. “As part of this, we are optimizing our manufacturing footprint which includes expanding our operations in some areas and consolidating or closing other operations. We are grateful for the contributions that these manufacturing teams have made to Serta Simmons Bedding and are committed to supporting these associates through the transition.”

The company said consolidation of manufacturing began last year and coincided with the company’s announcement of a new factory in Wisconsin scheduled to come online later this year. SSB also closed three factories in three different states – Iowa, Virginia and Kansas – last year.

According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice received by Connecticut Monday, the company said the closing will take place over the next several months, and all 157 employees will be impacted. The company said the job losses will be effective June 30, and the final closure of the factory will be on or about Aug. 4.

“This permanent closure of the Windsor Locks, Conn., plant will result in the cessation of all operations and termination of all employees at the site,” the certified letter said. Job titles impacted by the decision include administration, customer service, logistics, manufacturing, maintenance, management, quality control, materials handling and shipping and receiving.

At the time of the opening, the company said it employed more than 240 in the factory, and that the move from Massachusetts was part of SSB’s plans to expand its manufacturing footprint and support the Serta and Beautyrest lines.

SSB filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in January.

WAYCROSS, Ga. (WALB) - Gov. Brian Kemp announced on Tuesday that ADMARES, a company that specializes in the mass production of buildings and homes using prosperity technology, plans to construct its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Waycross.

“Projects like this prove that in every part of the state, Georgia has what job creators look for,” Kemp said. “We’re proud to welcome ADMARES to the No. 1 state for business and thankful for their decision to locate in a rural part of Georgia, as so many other companies have done in recent years. This project will not only bring more opportunities to hardworking Georgians, it will also help innovate the home building industry at a time when we need more rural workforce housing.”

The new facility is expected to create over 1,400 new jobs and invest $750 million in Ware County.

ADMARES is a company that originates from Turku, Finland. The organization is in the process of relocating its headquarters to the U.S. while continuing to leverage its innovative technology, Kemp’s office said in a release.

“Waycross, Georgia is an ideal location for a transportation hub with easy access to major highways and extensive rail connections. Its proximity to the Port of Brunswick, one of the busiest ports on the eastern seaboard, offers a competitive advantage for global trade. Waycross’ strategic location and robust infrastructure make it an attractive destination for us in the region,” said Mikael Hedberg, founder and CEO of ADMARES.

ADMARES has selected a greenfield site to construct a 2.5-million-square-foot build-to-suit facility. It will be located along Highway 23.

The manufacturing facility will specialize in producing buildings for the housing sector and is expected to begin production in late 2025, the release states.

The company will be hiring for administration, management, engineering and IT positions, along with logistics, assembly, robotics maintenance and production positions.

“(Waycross welcomes) ADMARES, the newest corporation to join our thriving community in Ware County, Georgia. ADMARES’ initiative to build homes not only contributes to the growth of our economy but also provides homes for countless families,” Michael-Angelo James, Waycross mayor, said. “We look forward to seeing the positive impact that ADMARES will have on our beloved city, and we thank them for choosing to be a part of our community.”

With our advanced technology, we are adopting successful practices that are common in other advanced industries.”

“We are excited that ADMARES has chosen Ware County for their first production facility in the world,” said Ware County Commission Chairman Elmer Thrift. “Their significant commitment to our community is evidence of the Waycross and Ware County Development Authority’s efforts to develop and support a positive business environment for Ware County. We look forward to working with ADMARES and their success in the Ware County area.”

Senior Project Manager Elizabeth McLean represented the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Global Commerce team on this competitive project in partnership with the Waycross and Ware County Development Authority, Georgia Power, and Georgia Quick Start.

“Workforce housing is a growing national challenge, and Georgia is no exception. The new ADMARES facility is helping address that challenge, filling a niche that is critical to economic development,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “What sets our state apart is our history of partnership that brings together the public and private sectors to overcome complex challenges. Congratulations to our friends in Waycross and Ware County on their hard work.”

The board said it wanted more legal advice and to further discuss public concern about the bathrooms and mural at Waycross-Ware Co. Public Library.

WAYCROSS, Ga. — Dozens of people from Waycross, and neighboring towns, showed up to Monday night's Okefenokee Regional Library System board meeting to share concerns they had with an LGBTQ+ mural and bathroom usage at the Waycross-Ware County Public Library.

The board voted to postpone a decision on library initiated displays and exhibits at the library and pushed a decision on library bathroom usage, as well.

“It makes me uncomfortable for them to display the flags and stuff signs and stuff that they’ve been displaying," Waycross neighbor, Carolyn James, said.

In October, the library took down pride flags inside the library after receiving a complaint.

The local board overseeing the library reached a compromise saying it could put up a mural.

But it wasn’t the answer some people were looking for.

“That’s when we moved into getting rid of any displays the represent any sexuality and getting into the issue with the transgender usage of the bathroom," library director, Martha Powers-Jones, said.

Powers-jones said the Waycross-Ware County Public Library has never had an issue with transgender people and bathrooms.

The regional board overseeing the library discussed bathroom renovations, but needs more guidance from attorney’s before moving forward.

For now, the library will discuss allowing one-person in the bathrooms at a time.

The regional board’s attorney also said taking down the mural would violate the first amendment.

The board will get a second legal opinion and weigh comments from the public.

“Every single flag represents what they are sexually get them out we just want it out of here we don’t want it our kids learning that here we want them learning about Peter Pan, Tom Sawyer,” Folkston neighbor, Ray McMillan said.

“It’s particularly important for people who have been marginalized in other areas of the area that they are able to come here and feel welcomed and appreciated," Blackshear neighbor, Tom Strait, said.

The regional board’s next meeting will be in August where it will act on the future of displays and bathrooms at the library.
