If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that nothing feels quite as good as a full night's sleep. When you sleep well, it sets the tone for the rest of your day. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. It's almost like the world knows when you sleep well: your morning coffee hits just right, the sun shines just a little brighter, and you've got a little extra pep in your step.
Your friends and colleagues may notice, too, especially if good sleep is becoming a foreign concept for you. If it is, you're not alone - according to the CDC, people around the U.S. are in need of some serious zzzz's - more than 1 in 3 Americans aren't getting enough sleep. Perhaps even more shocking is that 40% of people fall asleep during the day once a month, according to the National Institutes of Health. Experts agree that most folks should get at least seven hours of sleep a night, but in reality, most Americans struggle to get five or six.
While some ultra-rich CEOs claim they only need a few hours of sleep a night, that's not true for most people. In fact, your body and brain will hate you if you're not getting enough shuteye. If you're feeling sluggish, unmotivated, snappy, achy, sick, or just down in the dumps, you may not be getting enough sleep. And it may not be your fault - that old, dilapidated innerspring mattress that you're sleeping on may be the true culprit.
Fortunately, Sleep King is here to help you get on the fast track to falling asleep with the ultimate comfort of MLILY mattresses in Atlanta, GA.

Take a moment and think about all the different things that have happened in your life over the last decade. Maybe you graduated college or got the job of your dreams. Perhaps you got married or moved to a new home in a new state. But if you're like the average person, one thing remained the same: your mattress. It might be surprising to hear, but the average lifespan of a mattress is between seven and ten years.
Letting go of your old, worn-out mattress might be hard, especially if it's served you well over time. As with most products, however, nothing lasts forever. But how do you know when it's time to ditch your old bed and choose a new MLILY mattress in , GA? Here are just a few of the most common reasons that customers tell us when it comes to buying a new bed.
Is your mattress starting to smell less like roses and more like the dirty socks in your hamper? When your mattress gets smelly, it's most often a result of mold, fungi, and mildew buildup over time. There's not too much you can do to avoid this from happening, especially if you live in a humid climate. So, the next time you change your sheets, give your mattress a sniff. If it smells funky, it's time to upgrade.
If your mattress has a noticeable sag, it's a surefire sign that you need to get a new mattress. Mattresses sag because, over time, coils begin to weaken, and memory foam loses elasticity. If you lay down on your bed for a moment, get up, and your bed sags instead of returning to its original appearance, your mattress is nearing the end of its life.
Waking up in pain is basically the an thesis of what a mattress is supposed to do. Due to wear and tear over time, even the best mattresses lose their ability to support your body. If you've been waking up with dull aches and pains in your hips, lower back, or shoulders, it's a red flag. Finding a comfortable, supportive mattress like an MLILY Fusion Lux is of utmost importance.
Constantly moving side-to-side or switching positions in the middle of the night is a great way to get your partner angry. It's also a big sign that you need to consider buying a new mattress. Like the supportiveness of our mattresses, general comfortability also lessens with usage and time. Here's the truth: You shouldn't need to toss and turn to get comfortable in your bed. If you are, your mattress has probably declined in quality and needs replacing. You shouldn't ever have to put your sleep health on the line for an uncomfortable mattress.
It might sound obvious, but the #1 reason why people choose to buy a new mattress is to get better sleep. Sleep, in and of itself, is a bit of a mystery - somehow, our bodies just know when it's time to clock out for the day and go to sleep. But if you've been sleeping on a poor quality or dilapidated mattress for long enough, you might have become used to the feeling of lackluster sleep. If that sounds like you, we're here to tell you that you're missing out.
Getting a great night's rest is one of life's little pleasures, but according to experts, it's also much more than that. If you swear by limiting your sleep to be more "productive," you may be doing yourself a disservice.
When you don't get enough sleep on a regular basis, it can lead to serious heart issues like high blood pressure and even heart attacks. Why? Because poor sleep causes your body to release cortisol. This stress hormone causes your heart to work harder. That's great in some situations, but long stretches of poor sleep are quite bad for your heart. Like other parts of your body, your heart needs to rest in order to function correctly.
Getting a cold is never fun. But if it feels like someone slapped your head with an anvil when you get the sniffles, you may need better sleep. When you get great sleep, the proteins and immune cells in your body have a better chance of fighting off things like the common cold and flu. Your immune system also helps mitigate symptoms like runny noses, congestion, headaches, and more. Without the right sleep, symptoms from colds and cases of flu will be much worse.
Do you roll out of bed and feel like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? You're probably not getting great sleep. When you sleep well, you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to attack the day. Your energy levels are high, making life's little annoyances more manageable. And when you're not annoyed, you're typically not angry. When you're not angry, you're only a half-step away from being happy. So, put on our PJs and get to bed early on an MLILY mattress in , GA. Your friends and family will thank you!
Earlier, we mentioned how some people purposely lose sleep so that they can be more productive. On the surface, that makes some sense since you have more hours in the day to dedicate to work. However, burning the midnight oil again and again is a bad idea. Eventually, you'll start making mistakes that an afternoon pot of coffee won't fix. Instead of cutting your sleep short, try getting more. Studies show that great sleep is linked to higher cognitive function and improved concentration. If you're not purposely limiting your sleep, it's time to ditch that old mattress and swing by Sleep King.
Getting eight or more hours of sleep doesn't mean you're going to lose lbs. overnight. But getting better sleep can seriously help with your diet or weight loss goals. When you get poor sleep, your body creates a hormone called ghrelin that causes you to get hungry. It also lowers the amounts of leptin in your body, which is a hormone that lets you know you're full. With great sleep, these hormones remain balanced, so you don't wake up finding for a sugary bowl of Captain Crunch.
If you're sick of mediocre sleep and want to take on tomorrow with a fresh mind, better sleep begins with MLILY mattresses in Atlanta GA. When you trust our mattress store in Atlanta for MLILY mattresses, you're already taking the first steps towards better sleeping habits.

A brief cold pattern will turn mild and damp for the weekend. Here's the latest from the FOX 5 Storm Team.
ATLANTA - A cold front sweeping through the Southeast is bringing gusty winds and a significant drop in temperatures.
Light snow is expected in higher elevations.

A Freeze Warning is in effect for Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Gordon, Chattooga, Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Forsyth, Polk, Paulding, Cobb, Fulton, Haralson, Carroll, Douglas, Heard, Coweta, Fayette, Spalding, Troup, Meriwether, and Pike counties through 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 20s overnight in portions of north central, northwest, and west central Georgia.
What we know:
A Frost Advisory has been issued for Hall, Banks, Jackson, Madison, Gwinnett, Barrow, Clarke, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Wilkes, DeKalb, Rockdale, Walton, Newton, Morgan, Greene, Taliaferro, Clayton, Henry, Butts, Jasper, Putnam, Hancock, Warren, Upson, Lamar, Monroe, Jones, Baldwin, Washington, Glascock, Jefferson, Harris, Talbot, Taylor, Crawford, Bibb, Twiggs, Wilkinson, Johnson, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion, Peach, Houston, Bleckley, Laurens, Stewart, and Webster counties through 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Temperatures in this area will hover around freezing and could lead to the formation of frost during the overnight hours.
What they're saying:
"The winds are certainly not out of the picture at this point," with gusts reaching over 30 miles per hour. A wind advisory remains in effect, making for a breezy and gusty evening. "We're about 18 degrees cooler at this moment than we were 24 hours ago," FOX 5 Storm Team Jonathan Stacey noted, attributing the chill to cloud cover and a steady westerly breeze.
As the night progresses, temperatures are expected to linger in the 40s, with a 10 to 20% chance of rain and possible spot showers. By Thursday morning, the wind chill will make it feel like 22 degrees in Atlanta and even colder in areas like Blairsville, where it could feel like 17 degrees.
The cold air is expected to bring light snow to higher elevations, including the plateau, southwest Virginia, and mountain foothills. A dusting to one inch of snow is possible across the plateau and Cumberland Mountains, extending into southwest Virginia. Northeast Tennessee and the mountain foothills may see a dusting to half an inch of snow, with localized higher amounts up to one inch in some ridges and mountains.
"Even light snow accumulation may result in localized slick conditions, especially on bridges and elevated surfaces," cautioned weather officials, advising travelers in affected areas to exercise caution.
What's next:
Looking ahead, Friday is expected to be dry but cloudy, with scattered showers anticipated on Saturday. By Sunday, a steady rain is forecasted, with heavy rainfall at times potentially bringing up to an inch of rain. "Scattered showers turn to rain by Sunday," Stacey remarked.
The region can expect a return to sunshine and warmer temperatures next week.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Paul W. Brown has been appointed as the new Special Agent in charge of the FBI Atlanta division.
In a market exclusive interview with WTOC, Brown called his appointment to his new role overseeing FBI operations across Georgia as the pinnacle of his career. He says he’s spent the past few days getting familiar with the Division- but he has decades of experience with the FBI.
He started as a Special Agent in 2006, and since then, has worked in counterterrorism, been the Deputy Assistant Director of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate, and most recently, served as the Special Agent in charge of the Mobile field office.
He’s bringing all that experience with him, as he gets to know the lay of the land in Georgia.
“I need to understand the work they do, and the challenges they face, and how do I get them the resources, the training, develop those partnerships to amplify the work they’re doing,” Brown says.
Brown’s appointment comes in the beginning of the new Trump administration, which is directing more resources to immigration enforcement. Brown says the FBI is taking a more active role in enforcement activities, but they still have to balance out their other responsibilities.
”We still have to make sure we protect the nation and Georgia from terrorist attacks. We still have to be there to respond to cyber-incidents. We still have to be there to protect our critical information technologies from counter-intelligence and nation-states. Those don’t go away. It’s just, how do we best make sure that we can accomplish all that?” Brown says.
With the new administration comes new FBI Director Kash Patel.
Brown says Patel has expressed that in the midst of new immigration enforcement directives, he’s pushing more resources to FBI field offices, the Atlanta field office included. The extra resources- a luxury among Department of Government Efficiency cuts.
“I know there’s an emphasis on reducing federal spending and the size of the federal government, but he has really focused in on protecting the resources of the FBI and making sure we’re best enabled to carry out our important mission,” Brown says.
Brown tells WTOC he will be visiting all 14 of the FBI’s satellite office in Georgia soon, including the Savannah and Statesboro offices.

GEORGIA — The General Services Administration on Tuesday released a list of more than 400 federal properties that could be sold or closed, including several Georgia buildings, because they have been deemed non-essential for government operations.
Hours later, however, the administration issued a revised list with only 320 entries. By Wednesday morning, the list was gone entirely. “Non-core property list (Coming soon)” the page read.
The General Services Administration, which published the lists, did not immediately respond to questions about the changes or why the properties that had been listed had been removed.
The initial list had included some of the country’s most recognizable buildings, along with courthouses, offices and even parking garage and spanned nearly every state.
In Washington, D.C., it included the J. Edgar Hoover Building, which serves as FBI headquarters, the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building, the Old Post Office building, where President Donald Trump once ran a hotel, and the American Red Cross headquarters. The headquarters of numerous agencies, including Department of Labor and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, were listed, as well.
Reducing federal office space has been one of the Trump administration's top priorities since assuming power in January. GSA regional managers last month were told by the agency's Washington headquarters to begin terminating leases on all of the approximately 7,500 federal offices nationwide.
"We are identifying buildings and facilities that are not core to government operations, or non-core properties for disposal," a message on the GSA website stated.
"Selling ensures that taxpayer dollars are no longer spent on vacant or underutilized federal spaces. Disposing of these assets helps eliminate costly maintenance and allows us to reinvest in high-quality work environments that support agency missions."
These are the federal buildings in Georgia that the GSA said Tuesday are "designated for disposal:"

GEORGIA — More than 17,000 people were without power statewide, and trees were down in metro Atlanta, after a strong storm system rolled through Georgia overnight.
The National Weather Service on Wednesday told Patch that no reports of tornadoes or hail have come through its office, but meteorologists have been notified of straight-line wind damage to trees.
As of around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, 17,127 customers were without power, according to the online tracker poweroutage.us. The majority of the outages were in north Georgia, according to the digital map.
Cherokee County, closest to metro Atlanta, had outages totaling 2,489. In DeKalb County, 2,418 customers were in the dark, the most significant amount in the metro.
Though the main storm has moved out of metro Atlanta, NWS meteorologist Sid King said clouds were building along the backside of the system. This leaves a 15-20 percent of light showers throughout Wednesday afternoon in the metro.
However, with the anticipated 15-25 mph winds and up to 35 mph wind gusts, unsecured objects can still be tossed around an area.
No severe hazards are expected with the showers, King said.
Clouds will linger during the nighttime, but rain chances will dwindle down to 10 percent before midnight, he added.
In far north Georgia, the NWS predicted a light rain-snow mixture on Wednesday night.
A wind advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday for north and central Georgia.
Strong winds blew through areas far north and west of metro Atlanta with the overnight system. King said an inch of rain dropped in most areas.
"We're still gathering reports of downed trees and damage," he said early Wednesday.
With Georgia facing dry conditions in the past week, and the Georgia Forestry Commission reporting hundreds of wildfires in that timeframe statewide, King said the rain has moistened some of the finer fuels and helped to mitigate wildfire concerns.
But, he noted that winds could begin to cause a drier atmosphere.
North and central Georgia could be dry through Friday before a 20 percent chance of light showers early Saturday. The probability of rain will increase to 60 percent by Saturday night into Sunday morning.
King said the less than severe thunderstorms are expected to stay south of metro Atlanta, with a half to three-quarters of inch of rain anticipated into early Sunday.
As for temperatures, Georgia is teetering on cooler weather Wednesday. Highs may be in the low 60s before the temperature plummets to around freezing (32 degrees) in metro Atlanta, King said.
Thursday may usher in the coolest afternoon of the week with temperatures in the mid-50s. King said Friday low temperatures could sit in the mid-30s and high temperatures in the mid-60s.
Saturday could be heat up to around 70 degrees, King said.
